Kono Shrine

Tango's History Shrine

Kono-jinja Shrine is a shrine in Miyazu, Kyoto. The gods that presently reside in Ise Shine, Mie Prefecture are believed to have been transferred from here, which is why the shrine is often referred to as "Moto Ise" (Original Ise).
As Ise Shrine, it is also built in "yuitsu-jinmei-zukuri", which is the oldest architectural style in Japan. This style is only employed in Ise Jingu and Kono-jinja shrine.
